Carnival Rewards is live now — anybody seeing how casino points shake out?

Just read in Carnival’s press release, and Cruise Industry News mentioned it too, that Carnival Rewards officially launched on September 1. What caught my eye for our crowd is the casino piece: they said guests earn 1 reward point for every 1 casino point remaining at the end of a sailing. That sounds simple on paper, but y’all know how these programs can feel one way in an announcement and a little different once real folks start sailing under it. I’m a Carnival guy out of New Orleans, so I’m curious how this lands for the casino regulars here, especially anybody doing table play versus slots. Anybody already sailed this month and looked at their account after getting home? I’d love to hear whether it seems clearer, better, worse, or just more gumbo in a different pot.

I haven’t sailed under the new setup yet, but the phrase that jumps out at me is “casino points remaining at the end of a sailing.” That makes me wonder whether it’s strictly a 1:1 carryover from whatever bucket already existed onboard, or if there are any exclusions/rounding quirks that only show up after people get home and compare notes. I’d be especially curious to hear from table players, since those systems can feel less transparent than slots. If anyone has a before-and-after screenshot from their account, that would probably tell the story better than the press release does.

I haven’t been on Carnival yet since this flipped over, but I’m watching the same thing. The part I’d want clarified is timing: does the Rewards side post right after debarkation, a few days later, or after the folio fully closes? Sometimes that alone makes people think numbers are off when they’re just delayed. Also curious whether slot tournament/free play activity affects anything, or if it’s strictly earned casino points from tracked play. If somebody has already done a short sailing and a 7-day, that comparison would be really useful too.

On these programs, a raw 1:1 headline sounds clean until you realize two people can end with the same balance after very different trips. What I’d want from early reports: sailing length slot or tables onboard casino points earned/ending balance when Rewards posted That’ll tell us whether it’s really just a mirror of existing casino tracking or if there’s any weirdness by trip length. If anybody has a 3-day and a 7-day datapoint, that’s gold.
