Royal Caribbean doing double loyalty points right now?

I was reading Royal Caribbean Blog this week and saw they posted about a current double points offer for Crown & Anchor members. From what I could tell, it means some folks may move up the loyalty ladder faster on eligible sailings while the promo is running. What caught my eye is how these programs keep finding new ways to nudge repeat bookings, and I do think plenty of us casino folks watch loyalty changes almost as closely as itinerary changes. Gene always says the cruise lines know exactly how to keep us checking our accounts. I know this is not casino-specific, but loyalty promos on the cruise side can still matter if you like to stack whatever perks happen to come your way. Anybody here booked under this one, or seen anything similar lately from Carnival, MSC, or NCL?

Worth checking the actual promo terms before assuming it applies broadly. With Royal, these double Crown & Anchor promos are often limited by booking window, sail dates, ship/category, and sometimes only certain members are targeted. The big gotcha is usually that the bonus points post after sailing, not instantly, so anyone chasing a tier before an upcoming cruise should read that part carefully. I haven’t seen Carnival do the same kind of broad double-points push lately, but MSC and NCL seem more likely to lean on status-match style offers than temporary point multipliers. Did the blog mention whether suites/solo supplements change the math on this one?

I haven’t booked this Royal one, but I did get burned once assuming a loyalty promo would “just happen” without screenshots. Now if Denise spots one, I save the page, the terms, and the booking confirmation like it’s grandma’s gumbo recipe. Makes it a whole lot easier if points post funny later. What I’d want to know on this one is whether casino-rate bookings are treated any differently than regular fares for the bonus. Sometimes that’s where the fine print likes to hide. Anybody actually sailed under it yet and seen how it posted?

I’d separate cruise loyalty from casino value and track them as two different buckets. Royal’s C&A points are pretty straightforward on paper, but casino bookings can make people assume everything stacks the same way when it doesn’t always. I keep a little sheet with booking date, sail date, fare type, and what was promised. Saves me from trusting my memory, which has been worse than my blackjack variance lately. One thing I’d check: whether the bonus changes anything for people booking solo, since Royal’s point math can get interesting there. If anyone has the exact promo link, I’d read the exclusions line by line.
